Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers restore volume to areas of the face that have lost fullness due to ageing, or enhance features such as lips, cheeks, or jawline. Using gel-based substances (primarily hyaluronic acid), fillers can smooth lines, plump lips, and create better facial balance and proportion. Results are immediate and typically last 6-18 months depending on the product used and the area treated, after which the filler is naturally broken down and absorbed by your body.

Treatments

Treatment involves injecting the filler substance into specific areas with a fine needle. I will carefully assess your facial anatomy and discuss your goals during consultation to determine the appropriate product and placement. The procedure can take 30-60 minutes depending on the areas being treated, and most modern fillers contain local anesthetic to minimise discomfort during the process.

Aftercare

Swelling and tenderness at the injection sites is normal and usually most noticeable for the first 24-48 hours. You may experience some asymmetry during the initial swelling phase, which typically settles within a week. Bruising can occur and may take 7-10 days to fade completely. Small lumps or bumps may occasionally be felt under the skin but usually resolve on their own within a few weeks.
