During your consultation we will review your medical history, any medications you take, and your concerns and expectations, and explain the possible risks, side effects and alternatives. The prescriber will then determine whether the treatment is suitable for you. Treatment will only go ahead if it is judged safe and appropriate, and you will be given time to consider your decision before proceeding.

Treatments

The treatment involves a series of small injections using a very fine needle into specific facial muscles. I will assess your facial structure and discuss your concerns during a consultation to create a personalised treatment plan. The procedure typically takes 15-20 minutes, and most people find the discomfort minimal – often described as a slight pinching sensation.

Aftercare

You may experience minor redness, slight swelling, or small bumps at the injection sites immediately after treatment, which typically resolve within a few hours. Some people notice mild bruising, and there’s a small possibility of a temporary mild headache. I will provide you with detailed aftercare which will include avoiding lying down for 4-6 hours and refraining from strenous exercise for 24 hours, avoiding direct sunlight and any heat treatments such as saunas.
