Mesotherapy involves delivering skin boosters and other beneficial ingredients directly into the skin through minimally invasive multiple micro-injections. The word “meso” comes from the Greek word meaning “middle” hence why the solution is injected into the middle layer of skin (the dermis). Areas that can be treated include face, under-eye, cheeks, jawline and jowls, neck and decolletage, hands and knees.
This treatment can address various concerns including skin rejuvenation, improved circulation, targeted fat reduction in specific areas, hydration and nourishment to the skin, creating a natural looking glowing skin.
The initial treatment phase starts with weekly sessions for 4-6 weeks or every 2 weeks for 6-8 sessions. You will then go into the maintenance phase which can be monthly or every 3-6 months depending on specific concern.
The treatment uses an injection technique of micro-injections to deliver small amounts of solution across the treatment area. The procedure typically takes 20-40 minutes depending on the area being treated, and whilst you will feel the injections, most people find the discomfort manageable without anesthetic.
The treated area will likely appear red with small raised bumps at each injection point, which usually subside within 24-48 hours, you may also experience some tenderness and sensitivity in the injected area. Minor bruising can occur and there may be some temporary swelling, particularly when treating facial areas.
