Terms and Conditions

Acceptance of Terms

By booking and receiving treatments at AestheticsWorks, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Booking and Payment

Deposits:

  • A non-refundable deposit may be required for certain treatments
  • Deposits will be confirmed at time of booking

Payment:

  • Payment is required in full on the day of treatment unless otherwise agreed
  • We accept cash, card, and bank transfer
  • Prices are subject to change but will be confirmed at time of booking

Cancellations:

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in loss of deposit or full treatment charge
  • Emergency cancellations will be considered on a case-by-case basis

No-Shows:

  • Failure to attend without prior notice may result in full treatment charge

Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete medical history
  • Disclose all medications, supplements, and medical conditions
  • Inform me immediately of any changes to your health
  • Follow all pre-treatment and aftercare instructions
  • Attend a consultation before first treatment (where required)
  • Arrive on time for appointments
  • Notify me of pregnancy or if you become pregnant during treatment course

Treatment Suitability

I reserve the right to:

  • Refuse treatment if I believe it’s not in your best interest
  • Request medical clearance from your GP before proceeding
  • Discontinue treatment if you fail to disclose relevant medical information
  • Postpone treatment if you’re unwell or have active infections

Contraindications

You must inform me if you have any of the following:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Active infections or skin conditions
  • Blood clotting disorders or taking blood thinners
  • Autoimmune conditions
  • Cancer (current or recent)
  • Allergies to products or ingredients
  • Recent cosmetic procedures or surgeries

This is not an exhaustive list. Full contraindications will be discussed during consultation.

Risks and Side Effects

All treatments carry some risk of side effects. Common temporary effects include:

  • Redness, swelling, bruising
  • Tenderness at treatment site
  • Temporary asymmetry
  • Rare allergic reactions

Serious complications are rare but possible. These will be discussed during consultation, and you’ll be asked to sign a consent form acknowledging you understand the risks.

Results

Treatment results vary between individuals. While I aim to achieve the best possible outcomes:

  • Results cannot be guaranteed
  • Individual responses to treatment differ
  • Multiple sessions may be required for optimal results
  • Results are temporary for most aesthetic treatments
  • Maintenance treatments are typically needed

Medical Emergencies

In the unlikely event of a serious adverse reaction:

  • Emergency services will be contacted immediately
  • Your emergency contact will be notified
  • Relevant medical information may be shared with healthcare providers

Insurance and Qualifications

I maintain professional indemnity insurance and hold memberships with:

  • JCCP (Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners)
  • CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council)
  • SMA (Sports Massage Association)

Complaints Procedure

If you’re unhappy with any aspect of your treatment:

  2. I will respond within 5 working days
  3. We will work together to resolve the issue
  4. If you remain unsatisfied, you may contact my professional bodies: JCCP, CNHC, or SMA

Limitation of Liability

While I take every precaution to provide safe, effective treatments:

  • I am not liable for results that fall within normal variation
  • I am not liable for complications arising from undisclosed medical conditions
  • I am not liable for failure to follow aftercare instructions
  • My liability is limited to the cost of the treatment provided

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Client Conduct

I reserve the right to refuse service or terminate treatment if you:

  • Behave inappropriately or abusively
  • Are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Repeatedly miss appointments without notice
  • Fail to pay for services
